Genealogy and Bluebonnet Trip

My mom, Norma Jean Cate Hook and my grandson, Ty, and I went on a trip to the Texas Hill Country the weekend of April 9-11, 2110.  We had a really great time.  We went to Brady and stayed there at night and drove Saturday to Llano, Burnet, and back through Lampassas, Bend, and Comanche and back to Llano.  We visited the Historical Museum in Llano and the Babyhead cemetery.  I really wish that we could have seen Wilbern's Glen, but I have been told frequently that it is privately owned and not accessible.  We saw a salt vat in the museum that was used by the William Tow family at their salt mine.  The entire time we were driving around the countryside, it was so easy to imagine what it must have been like all those years ago to live amongst these beautiful scenes and in this wonderful country.  I want to make another trip there during the week sometime and be able to visit the courthouse and the newspaper archive.  All in all, it was a really great trip!!!!
